2023 is off to a pretty good start. Feedback from clubs is that meetings held thus far have been very well supported, with entries and attendances getting back to pre-covid numbers. Please remember to be kind to your judges and aim to keep entries to around 100 max.

You may have heard on the grapevine, that SAPF President Ross Pollock resigned from the management committee (MC), effective from September 1st, 2022. He has also resigned as President of the Eastern Suburbs Camera Club. Ross was hoping his company’s contract would last a couple more years and planned to retire to the West Coast in 2025. The President, Ross Pollock, is pleased to report that all existing members the Management Committee (MC) of the SAPF were re-elected at the 2022 SAPF AGM that was held on the 1st of April 2022 along with one additional member, David Shetliffe, who is the recently appointed President of the Audio Visual Club of SA. David brings to the committee a lifetime’s experience in the business world managing both commercial organizations and industry associations.

The Management Committee (MC) of the SAPF is keen to open communication channels to enable a closer working relationship with all affiliated clubs.

In 2020 we entered uncharted waters when Covid hit and since then many clubs have struggled to maintain club activities and membership numbers in the face of the ever-changing challenges that Covid presented.
